The Notus designs and ships software that real users reach and rely on. Two of the four products we've shipped are our own, live and taking orders; yours gets built the same way. Fixed scope, fixed price, and you own the code.
The Notus is a small studio that ships products. Bring an idea, a prototype, or an AI build that mostly works, and we take the fractional CTO seat: design and build what's missing, with auth, payments, AI pipelines, and a database that hold under real traffic. The second lane is custom sites and rebuilds: a brand-new site, or a migration off Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix into custom Astro on Cloudflare. And once it ships, an optional content engine turns it into video, social, and blog content.
Both pillars share one principle. We charge a fixed price for the part neither an AI tool nor a template builder could do, and then the work is yours. No retainer, no hourly billing, no scope-creep invoices, and no platform subscription to us. Everything we ship is built to production standards and made to be legible, to the people who use it and the tools that read it. That clarity is the through-line of the name itself.
Notus. The Greek Νότος, the south wind, crossed with the Latin notus, meaning "known." Visibility carried on a current: software that gets found because it was built to be clear and legible, and made to last.
A builder and a delivery lead. You work with them directly, not an account manager.
You have a vibe-coded prototype from Lovable, Cursor, Claude, Bolt, Replit, v0, or Windsurf that mostly works. We take the fractional CTO seat and finish it: auth, payments, and webhooks that hold; AI pipelines that don't crash or bleed cost; a database that scales past ten users; and the security passes no AI tool runs for you. Native iOS and Android via Capacitor if you need it.
A custom website redesign, or a brand-new site from scratch. Our in-house team handles brand, design, and engineering, then sets you up to keep editing the site yourself by talking to Claude or Cursor, with guardrails that make that safe on a live business. Custom website development starts at $4,000; standalone brand and design from $800; the content engine builds from $2,900 and runs from $1,200/month (blog-only at $400/month); a full custom SaaS from scratch typically $25,000 and up.
Our songwriting app across web, iOS, Android, and inside DAWs, from one React codebase, designed and built from a blank file. 92 signups in month one with zero ads, and cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude for "best songwriting app" within seven days of launch.
Read the case study →Personalized photo puzzles for kids, our second in-house product: a parent's photo becomes an AI fantasy portrait, then a watermarked proof, then a printed jigsaw shipped to the door. First commit to live paid pipeline in five days.
Read the case study →An AI trading-card platform built for its founders from an idea with no visual rough draft: a custom multi-model image pipeline, a 3D card-slab viewer, a creator marketplace, and dual auth plus dual payments (Stripe and crypto).
Read the case study →AI-aggregated business intelligence across 107 topic verticals, rebuilt from a Google AI Studio shell into a multi-model production system on 15 worker services. Paused by its founder in mid-2026 after a six-month production run.
Read the case study →The same stack runs under all four.
TypeScript and Astro on Cloudflare Workers, Supabase for data and auth, Stripe for payments, the OpenAI, Anthropic, and Groq SDKs for AI, and Capacitor for native iOS and Android. We pick the right model and the right data source for each job rather than wiring everything to one vendor, and we write the governance pack alongside the code so the next engineer can change a prompt or swap a model without guessing.
The Notus is a product studio and fractional-CTO practice based in Tampa, FL, working worldwide and remote. Founded in 2025, we design, build, and ship software: our own products and our clients'. Three offerings: taking apps from idea or AI-built prototype to production (from $7,500, in three to four weeks), building or rebuilding custom sites in Astro on Cloudflare (from $4,000, productized), and a done-for-you content engine that turns a live product into video, social, and blog content (build from $2,900, run from $1,200/month).
We have designed and shipped four products end-to-end. Two are our own, built on our own money and live today: Song Cage, a songwriting app across web, iOS, Android, and DAWs that was cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude for "best songwriting app" within seven days of launch, and The Curious Thing, AI-personalized photo puzzles for kids with real print fulfillment. Two were built for client founders: Cardify, an AI trading-card marketplace, and Pulse, an AI business-intelligence platform across 107 verticals.
No. Every engagement is fixed scope and fixed price. There is no retainer, no hourly billing, and no platform subscription to us. You own the code outright when the work is done.
We build on TypeScript, Astro, and Cloudflare Workers, with Supabase for data and auth, Stripe for payments, the OpenAI, Anthropic, and Groq SDKs for AI, and Capacitor for native iOS and Android. Every page ships as clean, standards-based markup that people and AI tools alike can read.
